What drives the price
What's bundled in
Most clinics include adjustments, soft-tissue work, therapeutic exercise and re-exams in the plan price. Compare bundles, not table time.
Region of the spine
Lumbar and cervical protocols use different setups; treating both areas changes the plan.
Imaging
If a current MRI or X-ray isn't available, imaging is a separate cost billed by the imaging facility.
Insurance, HSA and payment plans
Coverage for mechanical traction is inconsistent. Some plans cover the chiropractic and therapy codes performed alongside decompression while treating the decompression itself as non-covered. Others exclude it entirely. The only reliable answer comes from a verification of your specific policy, which the front desk can run before you commit.
Decompression care is generally an eligible HSA and FSA expense, and many clinics offer monthly payment plans or third-party medical financing so a full plan doesn't have to be paid up front.
Personal injury and auto claims are handled differently — if your pain started with a motor-vehicle collision, say so at the first call.
